Driving Directions To Swarthmore College
(May 23, 2007 through mid-July, 2007)
From the NORTH (New Jersey Turnpike or I-95)
Take the NJ turnpike to the exit for the Walt Whitman Bridge, cross the bridge and merge onto I-95 South on the Philadelphia side of the river
Continue South on I-95 past the Airport
Bear right at Exit 7 - 476/MacDade Blvd.
Immediately bear right again to Exit 1 - MacDade Blvd.
Immediately bear right again to MacDade Blvd. EAST
Merge onto MacDade Blvd. and get in the Left Lane
At the first stop light turn Left onto Fairview Ave. (this is a large interesection with a Dunkin\' Donuts and a KFC on your right and a gas station on your left)
Continue past the stop light at Michigan Ave.
Turn right at the next cross street, Cornell Ave.
Continue to the cross street, Yale Ave.
Turn Left onto Yale Ave.
At the next light turn right onto Chester Road and proceed to the Campus.
From the SOUTH (I-95)
Bear right at Exit 7 - 476/MacDade Blvd.
Take Exit 1 - MacDade Blvd.
Take next exit to MacDade Blvd. EAST
Merge onto MacDade Blvd. and get in the Left Lane

Continue past the stop light at Michigan Ave.
Turn right at the next cross street, Cornell Ave.
Continue to the cross street, Yale Ave.
Turn Left onto Yale Ave.
At the next light turn right onto Chester Road and proceed to the Campus.
From the EAST (via the Pennsylvania Turnpike)
From Exit 333, Norristown, follow signs for I-476 South. Stay on I-476 approximately 19 miles to Exit 1 - MacDade Blvd.
Take next exit to MacDade Blvd. EAST
Merge onto MacDade Blvd. and get in the Left Lane

Continue past the stop light at Michigan Ave.
Turn right at the next cross street, Cornell Ave.
Continue to the cross street, Yale Ave.

From the AIRPORT
Take I-95 South
Bear right to Exit 7 - 476/MacDade Blvd.
Bear right again to Exit 1 - MacDade Blvd.
Merge right to MacDade Blvd. EAST
Merge onto MacDade Blvd. and get in the Left Lane

Continue past the stop light at Michigan Ave.
Turn right at the next cross street, Cornell Ave.
Continue to the cross street, Yale Ave.
Turn Left onto Yale Ave.
At the next light turn right onto Chester Road and proceed to the Campus.
Proceeding to Campus
For Admissions, and other campus visitors
Follow Chester Road until the intersection at College Ave., turn Left onto College Ave. (there is a stop light and Swarthmore College sign at this intersection). Turn right at the the first intersection (this will be right before a large rock carved with the College\'s name) and proceed up the hill to Elm Ave. Turn Left on Elm Ave. and left again at the next street, Whittier Pl. Proceed to the end and turn right into the Dupont parking lot, beside the Science Center.
Walking to the Admissions Office
After parking in the DuPont parking lot, it\'s a short walk to the Admissions Office in Parrish Hall. Follow the path to the left of the Science Center, continue past Kohlberg Hall, and you will see the back entrance of Parrish straight ahead. The Admissions Office is on the second floor.

Visitors for the Athletic Facilities and Summer Programs
For Cunningham fields and Cunningham tennis courts, follow Chester Road until the intersection at College Ave., turn right on College Ave. The fields and courts are on the right side.
For Clothier fields, Tarble Pavilion, Lamb-Miller Field House, Sports Medicine and athletic administration and coaches offices, follow Chester Road and bear right where the road widens at Station Square (before the Railroad Bridge). At the stop sign turn left toward the railroad station and drive in the College\'s South Entrance. The athletic complex is approximately 100 yards down on the left. Access to Ware Pool, the squash courts and Mullan Tennis and Fitness Center is within walking distance from the main building.
For the Faulkner tennis courts, follow Chester Road and bear right where the road widens at Station Square (before the Railroad Bridge). At the stop sign turn left toward the railroad station and drive in the College\'s South Entrance. Continue straight on Field House Lane up the hill and over the railroad bridge. Turn right and the courts will be on your immediate left.
